60- Tusky Valley Still In For County Baseball Crown 7-5 (4-30-60)

BOLIVAR - Tuscarawas Valley (7-1) baseball fans today had their eyes posted to the southern portion of the County.  The Trojans defeated Gnadenhutten (3-4) 7-5 yesterday and are in line for the title or at least a share of it if - -?  If Tuscarawas (6-0) loses this morning to Port Washington (2-5) and Baltic (4-2) Monday morning, the Trojans will win the crown.  If Tusky wins both games, Tusky Valley will have to make its bid in next week's Sectional Class "A" Tournament at Sugarcreek - and if Tusky wins only 1 of their 2 remaining games the Trojans can grab a share of the title.  TV has completed its season.  Dean Nemitz broke a 5-5 tie in the 6th inning of yesterday's game driving in Ed Lundenberger, who had preceded with a single, with a Home Run for the game winning markers.  Mike Widder (3-0), who was on the mound for the Trojans, aided his own cause with a triple, while Clarence Cantrill doubled and tripled and Al Cerett tripled.  Widder fanned 4, walked 3 and permitted 7 hits in the victory.  Losing hurler Dave Struchen was touched for 9 hits, struck out 2 and walked 2.  Gnaden (3-4) battled with Midvale (3-4) in a game not reported and the winner not determined...
