60 - Port Upends Strasburg Nine 7-5 (4-29-60)

PORT WASHINGTON - Pushing across 2 runs in the seventh inning, Port Washington's Purple Riders (2-5) turned back Strasburg (2-6) in county league baseball play yesterday.  Jim Hannahs led the Riders with three hits, while Bill Phillips pounded a double.  Rudy Klapper had a triple for the losers.  Larry Laisure (1-0), a Freshman, took the win, going the first 4 innings, while Jim Bender (0-0) came in to save it.  Jim Clymer (1-4) was the loser.  Port had 14 hits and 4 errors, while Strasburg got 9 hits and had 3 miscues.  Tuscarawas Valley (6-1) whipped Stone Creek (0-8) in a not reported game.
