Strasburg's Tigers will face a stern challenge Friday night when the Gnadenhutten Indians invade the Bengal lair for a county league contest. The Tribe, beaten by Stone Creek, Baltic and Tuscarawas in 12 outings, has estasblished itself as a definite threat to the iron rule Strasburg has maintained over its opponents this year. Gnadenhutten's 77-63 victory over Midvale Tuesday night stamped Coach Dick Scott's team as a challenger which cannot be dealt with lightly by the fast moving Tigers, who are out to annex their consecutive undefeated league title.

OTHER LEAGUE games on tap Friday night have Bolivar at Midvale, Mineral City at Dundee, Sugarcreek-Shanesville at Port Washington and Stone Creek at Tuscarawas. Midvale, still in a deadlock with Strasburg for the league leadership with five league triumphs, figures to make it six straight circuit wins by defeating Bolivar with Mineral City seeking its first league triumph at Dundee.

SUGARCREEK-SHANESVILLE with only a close loss to Midvale marring its league slate, will have its work cut out against the Port Washington Purple Riders. The Pirates must win if they expect to stay in the running for the championship and the Riders have been hard to handle in their own corral. Tuscarawas' Broncos, apparently back in form after some early-season setbacks, and Stone Creek both have two league losses and appear to be too far back to count in the running for first place in the circuit, but the contest will never-the-less hold some attention in the league spotlight.
