The second meeting between Port Washington (1-3) (6-4) and Keene was completely different from the first tossle as Coach Bray Toot's Purple Riders blasted the Cardinals last night at Port Washington. In their second game of the season, the Riders sked out a narrow 45-44 decision over the Cards on the Keene hardwood. Coach Toot began experimenting with substitutes after the first quarter ended with the Riders out in front 25-2 and continued juggling his players throughout the lopsided affair. Port Washington led 46-9 at half time as Keene was able to score only one fielder the first two quarters. The Cardinals added only two more action shots the third period which ended 66-16. Twelve cagers tallied points for the winners. Tom Jones leading with 14 while Paul Frank had 13 and Ed Bates 12. John Russe was high for Keene with 19 points. In the Reserve game Port Washington (9-1) picked up their 7th straight win 48-22.
