Purple Riders Trample Bolivar 81-46 (12-11-54)

Port Washington (1-2) (3-3) recorded its first league victory and evened its season's mark as Paul Frank hit a torrid streak in the second half against Bolivar's undermanned Cardinals. Limited to six points the first two periods which had the Purple Riders leading by 18-14 and 37-27 margins, Frank poured 20 points through the hoop the second half. The Riders led by 56-37 at the three-way mark as they handed Bolivar (0-3) (1-5) its third loop defeat in as many starts. Tom Jones had 14 and Ed Bates 13 to trail Frank's 26 for the Riders while Bob Sisson was the only Cardinal able to dent the nets with any degree of accuracy, caging 14 points. The Port Washington Reserves (5-1) continued their winning ways with a 33-32 edging of the Bolivar Reserves.
