Stone Creek's Panthers, who have clawed their way to an impressive seven victories in the last nine starts after dropping their first three outings in succession, will get a chance to step into the role of spoilers in Tuscarawas County Class B League action Friday night. The Panthers host Midvale's Blue Devils, who share the league lead with Strasburg. Midvale and Strasburg each have five league wins without a defeat and the Devils will get a chance to claim undisputed possession of first place while Strasburg is idle until Saturday night. Stone Creek, outclassed only by Baltic 83-65 in its five defeats, will have a big edge over Midvale because of the site of the game and the Panthers are given an even chance of upending the Blue Devils perfect league slate. Other circuit contests on tap Friday night have Baltic at Dundee, Sugarcreek-Shanesville at Bolivar, Gnadenhutten at Port Washington and Tuscarawas at Mineral City.
