Port Coasts Over Madison 68-40 (1-12-55)

The Purple Riders of Port Washington (2-3) (8-4) coasted to their eighth victory of the season last night as they took an easy decision over an outclassed Madison quintet from Guernsey County. The Riders have lost only four games. With Paul Frank showing the way, Coach Bray Toot's cagers were in command throughout the contest and posted quarter leads of 18-11, 30-20 and 51-28 en route to the victory. Paul Frank concluded with 29 points while teammate Tom Jones contributed 20 as the duo scored enough points between them to win the game. Beal's 14 points were high for Madison. The Madison Reserves snapped the Port Washington 8 game winning streak by clipping them 44-39. Port's record is now (10-2).
