Wainwright's PONY League and Little League teams each copped their third straight victories in County League play yesterday and Monday evenings. The PONY Leaguers downed Midvale 8-2 while the Little Leaguers chalked up a 7-4 win at Port Washington. Ken Beamer granted five hits, struck out nine and walked four in hurling the PONY team to its triumph while Bob Beamer led the winning attack with a home run and two triples. Dick Leggett had two triples and a single for Midvale while Scott the Midvale pitcher, was touched for nine hits, fanned six and walked the same number. Sandy Bonvechio rapped a home run and two singles and Bud Smith, double and single for the Little Leaguers. Smith fanned 10, walked three and gave up only two hits including a home run by Combs, the Port Washington hurler. Combs granted nine hits, struck out 10 and walked four. A four-run fifth inning decided the game for Wainwright.
