67 - Garaway Pirates Drop 2 Games At West Lafayette (4-1-67)

WEST LAFAYETTE - Ridgewood High School baseballers (3-1) copped both ends of a twin bill from the visiting Garaway Pirates (0-2) Saturday afternoon on the local field.  The Generals after scoring 8 runs on 13 hits in the 1st game with 3 runs in the 1st inning, 2 in the 2nd on Dane Smith's round tripper and 3 more in the 4th on Mike Hendrick's Home Run.  The Pirates produced 4 runs in the seventh.  Don Reichelderfer gained the victory with a route going performance as Tim Miller (0-1) took the loss for Garaway.

The 2nd game was a thriller as Ridgewood came from behind to win 5-4, after trailing 4-3 going into the last half of the seventh.  Jay Gillette doubled with 2 on to clinch the win.  Rich Richardson hit a Home Run (1) for the Pirates, while Bob Favor (0-1) was the loser after giving up 9 hits.
