DOVER - The Class A Sectional Baseball Tournament opens play Monday at both sites, Gnadenhutten and Sugarcreek according to Manager John Zion of New Philadelphia. Results of Wednesday's drawings find Strasburg and Conotton Valley lifting the lid on the Sugarcreek Park field at 1:30PM, followed by Garaway and Malvern at 3:30. The twin bill at Gnaden pits Tuscarawas against Port Washington at 1:30PM, followed by Midvale vs Scio at 3:30.
In the Sugarcreek Division Hiland drew a 1st round bye and will tangle with the Garaway-Malvern winner at 3:30 on Wednesday. Gnaden and Lakeland drew the 1st round bye in their division. Lakeland will clash with the Tusky-Port winner at 1:30PM Wednesday followed by Gnaden vs the Midvale-Scio victor at 3:30. The 4 winners then advance to the semi-finals in Gnaden on May 1st and 3rd.
