Port Washington (0-6)(3-12) managed to stay with its neighbors from Tuscarawas (2-4) (5-8) during the middle two quarters, but the "bordering" chapters were disastrous. The Broncos, sparked by sharp-shooting Junior veteran Gary Caviness, took a 30-8 first quarter lead and then held 34-27 and 54-44 quarter leads. Caviness hit for 36 points to take game scoring honors. The outburst, his third straight 30-plus total, gave him 322 for the season. Bud Eckhardt provided chief support with 18. Diminutive Bill Phillips pushed his season total to 293 with a 21-point barrage for Port Washington. In the Reserve game, Tuscarawas blasted Port Washington (3-12) 59-26.
