The tournament trail continues for Midvale, Tuscarawas Valley and Stone Creek. With close to 2,000 howling fans looking on, Midvale (17-1) whipped Baltic (10-11) 85-61, Tuscarawas Valley (18-1) topped Tuscarawas (6-12) 54-41 and Stone Creek (13-8) tripped Strasburg (6-13) 67-41 last night at Memorial Hall in the opening action of the 37th Annual Tuscarawas County Class A Tourney. By virtue of their seeded berths, Midvale's once-beaten Blue Devils and Tusky Valley's likewise once-beaten Trojans jumped into semi-final play scheduled Friday night, February 20. Their opponents will be decided when first-round action is concluded tomorrow night. Stone Creek returns to action in the 7:30 opener tomorrow night against seeded Gnadenhutten (13-6), Garaway (12-8), the tourney's fourth seeded club, meets Port Washington (3-16) in the night cap at 8:45. Midvale's semi-final foe will be the winner of the Stone Creek-Gnadenhutten fracas. The Garaway-Port Washington victor will go against Tuscarawas Valley.
