PORT WASHINGTON - Port Washington's Senior-less Riders (3-10) have had very little to cheer about this season - but that wasn't the case Saturday night when they rolled to a 76-52 decision over Augusta. A month ago the Riders were defeated 62-60 in a sudden-death overtime at Augusta, but Saturday's victory was more than enough compensation. Registering their biggest offensive of the season, the Riders boomed to a 19-5 first quarter lead and then rolled to margins of 39-15 and 60-33 at the second and third stops. Bill Phillips paced the Riders with 21 points, while Larry Hagan and John Landon followed with 16 and 11, respectively. The Port Washington Reserves (3-10) started the Port sweep by downing the Augusta Reserves 46-23.
