BALTIC - Port Washington (0-4) (2-9) took the tip and scored the first basket of the game for a 2-0 lead. But, that was the last time the Riders were ever close to the host Baltic Eagles (2-3) (6-7). The Eagles of Coach Tom Bellville came back to tie the score and went ahead to stay a short time later. They were ahead 22-16 at the end of the first period. They outscored the invaders 19-10 in the second period to leave the floor with a 41-26 lead at intermission. They continued to pile up the score over the outmanned Riders in the third period and were ahead 65-37 when the quarter ended. Three Eagles ended in the double figure column with Gary Gerber leading the way with 25 points. John Rice followed with 21 and Sam Jacobs got 19. Bill Phillips was the leading man in the Port attack when he meshed 27 points. In the first game, the Baltic Reserves ripped the Port Washington Reserves (2-9) 40-19.
