Midvale's Blue Devils (8-0) did it in convincing fashion. By rolling to an easy 90-41 triumph Friday night over Port Washington (0-8), the Blue Devils wrapped up their second straight unbeaten Tuscarawas County Class "A" League Championship. They now have a string of 16 straight league wins. Tuscarawas Valley (7-1) finished in the runner-up spot by disposing of Baltic (3-5) 73-53. The Trojans, who lost only to Midvale during the league campaign, could have gained a share of the championship had Midvale lost. In the other league game last night, Garaway (5-3) pinned a 79-38 defeat on Tuscarawas (2-6) to pin down fourth place behind Gnadenhutten. Last night's program concluded the loops campaign and also regular-season activity for all except Port Washington. The Purple Riders will ring down the curtain on their season tonight by entertaining Malvern. Drawings for the 37th annual league tournament which starts next Tuesday night at Memorial Hall were scheduled this morning in County Superintendent W. E. Laws' office. The tounament will also be played February 12, February 20 and February 21.
