Strasburg's Tigers, who hold a comparatively poor 1-5 league record, could play an important part tonight in deciding the outcome of the Tuscarawas County Class "A" League race. The Tigers, who lost the county crown for the first time in five years last season when Midvale waltzed to the crown with an 8-0 record, will furnish the opposition for the Blue Devils in one of four loop tussles scheduled. Midvale, unbeaten in six loop games, could clinch at least a share of the title by winning. The Blue Devils would clinch it by winning against Port Washington February 6. Should Strasburg upset the dope bucket, either Gnadenhutten or Tuscarawas Valley could move closer to the top. Those two teams battle it out in the night's headliner at Tusky Valley. Gnadenhutten closes its league slate tonight. Should it win and Midvale lose, the Indians would take over undisputed leadership. Should Midvale win and Gnaden lose, then Tusky Valley would move to within a half-game of the leaders. There are other possibilities even though they are remote. They will best be explained after the results of tonight's action is known. Garaway (3-3) and Stone Creek (2-4) meet at Garaway and Port Washington (0-5) is at Tuscarawas (1-4) in the other games tonight. Baltic is idle in league warfare tonight, but will meet Glenmont Saturday night.
