Wainwright (6-1) edged back into sole possession of first place in the County Midget Baseball League last night by defeating Gnadenhutten (5-2) 4-0 behind the 2-hit pitching of Sandy Bonvechio. Bonvechio fanned eight Gnaden batters and walked two while he collected a triple and single himself to share hitting honors with teammate Ed Richardson, who had a double and a single. Rauzi of Gnaden permitted five hits while striking out five and walking three. He and Struchen got the only two hits off Bonvechio. The Port Washington (2-5) - Tuscarawas (2-3) game slated last night was postponed until Saturday, July 16. Last Friday's results saw Wainwright defeat Tuscarawas 10-1 and Port Washington rap Midvale 15-7. In a makeup game, Gnadenhutten downed Port 5-4. Friday's Midget League schedule has Wainwright with a bye while Midvale is at Tuscarawas and Gnadenhutten is at Port Washington.
