Indians Rally In 2nd Half For 59-47 Victory (11-16-55)

FOUR TUSCARAWAS County schoolboy cage outfits made their 1955-56 season bows last night with Gnadenhutten's Indians and Port Washington's Purple Riders grabbing scalps. The Indians roared back in the second half to upend host Freeport by a 59-57 count while Port, clicking on all cylinders in the last eight minutes, shot past Stone Creek at the Panther lair. The other county team coming out on the short end of the score was Sugarcreek, which led at the close of three stanzas, but yielded to Warsaw, 67-57 at the winner's court. Stone Creek and Gnaden will return to action on Friday night when Bolivar, Dundee, Walnut Creek, Tuscarawas, Districk Champion Strasburg will be in their debuts. Strasburg will be at Bolivar, Dundee at Stone Creek, Fresno at Baltic, Gnaden at Tusky and Killbuck at Walnut Creek.
