46 Goals For Purple Riders 108-74 (1-14-56)
No difficulty whatsoever was experienced by the Port Washington Purple Riders (3-3) (8-5) as they coasted to their easy, lopsided decision over the cellar dwelling Dundee Bulldogs (0-7) (1-10). Coach Bray Toot substituted freely in an effort to hold down the score, but the Purple Riders reserves also had their shooting eyes in focus and the Bulldogs were hopelessly outclassed as they trailed 34-16, 62-31 and 82-50 at the breaks. A total of 11 Riders broke into the scoring column, five of them hitting in double figures with Tom Jones and Nick Frank each collecting 23. Five Bulldogs also tallied in twin digits, Gary Slemmer caging 19 points and Al Dildine garnering 17 to lead the way. The Port Washington Reserves (10-2) Walloped the Dundee Reserves 44-29. In the Grade games, Port Washington (3-1) also dumped Dundee 42-26 for a Port Washington sweep for the night.**PORT WASHINGTON PURPLE RIDERS 108*Tom Jones 8-7-23Bill McConnell 2-0-4Bob Welsch 6-1-13Ed Bates 7-0-14Nick Frank 10-3-23Denver Glazer 2-0-4Jerry Hannahs 3-0-6Jim Emler 4-5-13Tom Gardner 2-0-4Don Ferrall 1-0-2Doyle Galbraith 1-0-2**DUNDEE BULLDOGS 74*Willie Slemmer 7-5-19Al Dildine 5-7-17Don Levengood 6-0-12Bob Walters 4-4-12Neil Potts 4-2-10Carl Squires 2-0-4***Saturday, January 14, 1956The Daily ReporterDover, Ohio
