Port Blasts Tusky 82-49 (1-11-56)
Port Washington (2-3) (7-5) couldn't do much wrong at Tuscarawas last night and went home with a victory over the Broncos (3-3) (4-8). Port went in front 18-13 at the first stop and limited Tusky to 10 points in each of the remaining quarters, while they netted almost everything they shot for the lop-sided decision. Denver Glazer paced Port with 23 points and had nine of 10 foul shots. Actually, Glazer failed to miss any attempt at the charity stripe, but one of his teammates nullified one ace when he stepped in the lane too quickly, Ed Bates had 16. Ted Riggle canned 19 for the combine of Coach Ron Easton. The Port Washington Reserves (9-2) nipped the Tusky Reserves 58-55.**PORT WASHINGTON PURPLE RIDERS 82*Ed Bates 8-0-16Denver Glazer 7-9-23Tom Jones 3-1-7Jerry Hannahs 1-2-4Nick Frank 7-3-17Bob Welsch 3-1-7Bill McConnell 4-0-8**TUSCARAWAS BRONCOS 49*Ted Riggle 9-1-19Ron Moore 1-1-3Dave Petry 3-1-7Bob Vesco 2-1-5Earl Henry 0-0-0Ed Hill 1-3-5Carl Simmons 3-2-8Tom Vesco 0-2-2Frank Adams 0-0-0***Wednesday, January 11, 1956The Daily ReporterDover, Ohio
