TUSCARAWAS - The Tuscarawas Broncos will open their 1957 basketball season here tonight and for the second year will be under the coaching of Stan Culp. The Broncos, who won but one game in 18 last season will go against the Tuscasrawas Valley Trojans of Coach Bob Heller. Last year the Trojans dropped the Broncos 66-26 and 65-28. This year Stan Culp will be without a senior on his quintet which will be built around junior lettermen John Metzger and Tom Vesco. The Broncos will also be without height as Tom Vesco is the tallest man on the squad at 5'11, while John Metzger stands 5'10. Stan Culp will also send two sophomores in the lineup. They will be Bud Echardt, up from the reserves, and Gary Caviness. Bud Echardt hits 5'10, while Gary Caviness is 5'6. The other starter will be 5'10 junior Dick Robinson. Other boys on the squad include Marvin Schupp, Delmar Veigel, Tom Welsch, Larry Bolden, Wilbur Everett and Tom Van Lehn.
