Midvale's Blue Devils (10-2), defending regional champions, increased their lead in the Tuscarawas County A loop last night when they downed the second-place Gnadenhutten Indians (11-5) 82-73 for their fourth decision as against no losses in league play. The Tribe is now 5-2. Tuscarawas Valley's Trojans (7-4) pulled one out of the bag by beating Stone Creek (7-7) 56-46 for their third loop victory which moved them into a third-place tie with Baltic (9-4), which beat Tuscarawas (4-6) 57-50. Garaway (7-6) handed the Strasburg Tigers (9-5) another league beating, the third as against only two wins, 56-46. Port Washington (1-11) did not play last night.
