GNADENHUTTEN - Trailing by four points at the end of the first period, the Gnadenhutten Indians (2-2) (6-3) knocked the lid off the hoop in the second to grab a 26-15 lead over the Port Washington Purple Riders (0-3) (0-7) in last night's victory here. They were ahead 43-17 at the end of the third chukker and scorched the nets for 25 points in the final canto to take the decision going away as the Purple Riders could only muster 10 markers. Larry Clark led the Tribe with 20 points on 10 field goals, while mates Tom Roth and Larry Gooding added 15 and 13 in the three-way scoring attack. Don Ferrell topped Port Washington with nine markers. The Gnadenhutten Reserves killed the Port Washington Reserves (1-6) 49-25 while the Gnadenhutten Graders lost to the Port Washington Graders (2-2) 44-39.
