A 21-point spurt in the second period gave the Killbuck Bucks of Holmes County a comforable 33-19 half-time lead at Port Washington (0-2) last night and they continued on for a 68-51 victory over the host Purple Riders. Killbuck led only 12-10 after one period and was on top 47-37 at the last break. Although Coach Bill Oppenheimer's Riders closed the gap slightly in the third stanza, another 21-point barrage the final frame by the Bucks insured Port Washington its second defeat in as many outings. Don Ferrell and Tom Gardner topped the Purple Riders scoring with 17 and 10 points, respectively, while Allison hit 19 and Glassford 18 for Killbuck, Martin added 12. The Killbuck Reserves were also winners as they beat up the Port Washington Reserves (0-2) 48-21. No Grader game.
