Another county class A league season came to a close last night with Midvale (16-2) downing Baltic (12-7) 76-69 to go unscathed through league competition for the first time since 1949. The loss gave Baltic a 3-5 loop mark and put them in fifth place. Strasburg (11-7) ended its first season since 1952 without the league crown, but last night settled for a fourth place tie with Garaway (10-10) as they downed Tuscarawas (5-11) 73-40. Strasburg ends with a league mark of 4-4 and Tuscasrawas 1-7. Tuscarawas Valley's Trojans (11-5) ended its season with a 53-51 edge over Port Washington (1-17) which ended with a 0-8 mark in Bill Oppenheimer's first year at the Rider helm. The Trojans end in a tie for third place with Stone Creek (12-8) as both teams have 5-3 marks.
