After two games tonight in the Tuscarawas County Class A Basketball League Tournament the stage will be set for the semi-finals slated for next week. The Terrific Tigers of Strasburg and the Indians of Gnadenhutten romped to victories last night to gain berths for the semi-finals at Memorial Hall before approximately 1,100 fans. Strasburg (18-1) turned on the power to overwhelm Baltic (13-8) 81-63 in the nightcap. In the consolation fracas Tuscarawas (2-18) polished off Dundee (1-21) in fine fashion to the tune of 97-44 to eliminate the Bulldogs from play since it was the second loss for that team. The Stone Creek Panthers (16-4) will open championship play tonight when they take on Midvale's Blue Devils (11-8), winner of an opening round game over Tuscarawas, while in the second title-seeking game, Tuscarawas Valley's Trojans (15-4) take on Port Washington (12-7). A consy tilt between Baltic (13-8) and Sugarcreek (10-11) will start action at 6:30PM.
