Ron Combs and Van Oinhausen were named the "Most Valuable Players" in basketball and football respectively, at the recent Cambridge High athletic banquet. Combs, who starred in the Bobcats' two performances against Dover High basketballers this season, got his start in the cage game at Port Washington. He moved to Cambridge as a sophomore. He had a 12.2 point average and with his 6-4 frame pulled down 188 defensive rebounds and 88 offensively, while making 17 assists and 32 plass interceptions.
