PORT WASHINGTON - Richard E. King, a graduate of Muskingum College, has been employed by the Salem-Washington Board of Education to replace assistant coach Mark D. Covert who resigned at the end of the 1958-1959 term. King is a 1951 graduate of Dennison High where he was a letterman in both football and basketball. He served in the U.S. Navy. While attending Muskingum, he also served as an agent for the Nationwide Insurance Co. He is married to the former Shirley Hamilton of Gnadenhutten. At Muskingum he majored in health and physical education and minored in biological science. At Port Washington, he will serve as head baseball and track coach and assist in basketball. He will teach boys physical education, health, biology and general science.
