Three games this week will officially open play in the Tuscarawas County Baseball League Tournament which will ultimately determine two entries for Sectional Class "A" play. Action opens at 4:30 Wednesday at Baltic where Garaway and Stone Creek battle. Thursday, two games are on tap with Strasburg meeting Gnadenhutten on either the Tuscarawas or Wainwright diamond, while Midvale and Tuscarawas tangle on the Gnaden field. Tourney play will resume next Monday. Baltic meets Tuscarawas Valley at Sugarcreek, and Port Washington clashes with Garaway-Stone Creek winner at a site yet to be determined. Friday, April 17, the Baltic-Tusky Valley winner goes against the Port-Garaway-Stone Creek victor, while the Strasburg-Gnaden winner meets the Midvale-Tuscarawas victor. The championship game is slated April 21. Both the champ and runner-up will advance to the Sectional Tournament booked April 28-30 at Sugarcreek. All games are slated for 4:30PM.
