59 - Tuscarawas County Class "A" Basketball League Scoring (12-24-58)

Gnadenhutten's ace forward, Ron Bradley, has taken a strangle hold on the individual scoring lead in the Tuscarawas County Class "A" Basketball League. With the league half over, Bradley has piled up 151 points to almost double the aggregate compiled by runnerup Gary Caviness of Tuscarawas. Bradley has averaged 30.2 points a game in leading Gnadenhutten to a perfect 5-0 loop mark. Behind Gary Caviness, who has caged 85 points, is Midvale's Ron Breniser with 68 points. Breniser jumped from sixth to third place as a result of league action last week. Tuscarawas Valley's Ben Price and Gary Caviness are the only other cagers who have averaged better than 20 points a game. Both are averaging 21.0. The league, idle during the holiday season, will swing back into loop warfare Friday night, January 9, with a top-notch card. Featured on the usual four-game agenda will be the meeting of unbeaten Midvale (4-0) and Tuscarawas Valley (3-0) on the Midvale court. While those titans duel, Gnadenhutten (5-0) will seek to gain ground against one when it invades Garaway (2-2). Stone Creek (2-2) invades Strasburg (0-4) and Port Washington (0-4) is at Baltic (1-3) in the other tussles. Tuscasrawas (1-3) will play at Brewster the same night in a non-league game.
