59 - Tuscarawas County Scoring Race (12-16-58)

BRADLEY ON TOP IN COUNTY SCORING RACE - Veteran forward Ron Bradley of Gnadenhutten is the top scholastic basketball scorer at the present time. Statistics maintained by The Daily Reporter sports department show Bradley's 203 points in eight games are the best in the Class "A" ranks. Bradley, third in the Class "A" race last week, moved into the leadership with a 2-game 59-point surge last week. Baltic's John Rice, leader last week, dropped into the runnerup spot with 194 points. He tallied 14 points in one appearance last week. Ben Price, Tusky Valley's brilliant forward, made a big step in the standings last week, moving from eighth spot to fourth by dumping in 51 points in two games last week. He has 122 in five games for an average of 24.4 a game. His average is topped only by Bradley's 25.4. Gary Caviness of Tuscarawas, fifth this week with 120 points, has a 24-point average. His 57-point outburst last week moved him up from 13th spot. On the team level, only two undefeated teams remain in the county. Midvale has a 6-0 mark and Tuscarawas Valley enjoys a five-game win streak.
