The "rich" got richer in the Tuscarawas County Class A Basketball League play Friday night. Unbeaten Gnadenhutten, Midvale and Tuscarawas Valley notched victories and unless someone exerts a strong influence in remaining league conflicts, one of those clubs is due to walk off with the bunting. Gnadenhutten (5-0) (8-2) tallied its fifth straight loop success by nipping Stone Creek (2-2) (4-4) in a 62-60 battle. Midvale (4-0) (7-1) notched No. 4 in a row with a 74-63 decision over Tuscarawas (1-3) (2-5) and Tuscarawas Valley (3-0) (7-0) made it three straight in league warfare by tripping Strasburg (0-4) (2-6) 47-32. Tusky Valley's win enabled it to continue among the ranks of the unbeaten for the entire season. Gnadenhutten bumped Midvale from the unbeaten on Tuesday night. Garaway's Pirates (2-2) (5-4) evened their league slate with an easy 71-45 verdict over Baltic (1-3) (4-7) in last night's other league fracas. Port Washington (0-4) (1-7) was idle in league competition last night, but ended a 7-game losing streak with a 64-60 win over Roscoe.
