The Stone Creek Panthers and Tuscarawas Valley Trojans emerged as the powers in the Tuscarawas County Class A Basketball League with Port Washington as the dark horse after last night's action. The PLanthers of Coach Ed McGlumphy surged in front in the final quarter to defeat the "hard-luck" Midvale Blue Devils 69-58. The loss was the worst thus far this season for the Bllue Devils. The Trojans verdict. Both Stone Creek and Tuscarawas Valley have four victories against no losses in county play and lead the loop with Strasburg unbeaten in three outings in loop action. Port Washington blasted the toutedGnadenhutten Indians 82-62 which came as a surprise to many cage fans. Previously Port tripped the Tribe 64-61 in a thrilling non-loop tilt. In the other contest Baltic whipped Dundee 75-57 as the Bulldogs played almost the entire last quarter with only four players. The game had been close up until the third man of the seven-man Dundee squad fouled out.
