Gnaden Holds 2nd Spot By Beating Tusky Valley (1-30-57)

The first two places in the Tuscarawas County Class A Basketball League remained unchanged after last night's action, but a heated battle may be in the making for second, third, and fourth spots. Strasburg took a thrilling 67-64 verdict from Midvae to hold first spot and t remain undefeated in county league play in seven games, while also racking up its 48th straight loop victory. The second place Gnadenhutten Indians over-powered Tuscarawas Valley 61-42 in the final quarter and ended its league play in second place thus far with a 7-2- record. Stone Creek moved into contention for a tie for second place honors with a resounding 99-47 victory over Dundee as the Panthers posted a 6-2 loop mark. Baltic idel last night, is in fourth spot, while Tusky Valley is fifth with a 4-3 record. In the other county league game touted Port Washington had to rely on Ed Bates to carry them to a 66-59 victory over 9th place Tuscarawas.
