The Purple Riders of Port Washington (3-2) (9-4) employed 23 players in routing Dundee (0-5) (1-10) with 13 of them getting into the scoring act. In posting the victory Port Washington rolled to a 21-10 lead after the first quarter and then, holding Dundee to only four points, picked up 22 more to take a 43-14 advantage by half time. Dundee scored 19 and the Riders only 11 points in the third quarter to cut the lead to a 54-33 score, but in the final period the winners pumped 37 points through the hoop to coast to the victory. Big Ed Bates, playing all but two minutes of the game, led all scorers with 28 points, while Denver Glazer added 18 and Jim Emler and Nick Frank each netted 12. Bill Slemmer was high for the Bulldogs with 13 markers, while Dean Burrell hit for 12 points. No Reserve game reported.
