61 - Tusky Valley Bows To Gnaden 52-49 (1-23-61)


GNADENHUTTEN - Tuscarawas Valley (8-4) which defeated Gnadenhutten 69-60 in its opening game of the campaign, a Tuscarawas County Class "A" League encounter, suffered a narrow setback to the same Indians here Saturday night.  A rash of foul shooting took place in the battle with 28 personal fouls being called against Gnadenhutten (8-6) and 23 on  the Trojans.  And when the final buzzer sounded a totalof 6 starters had received their fifth personals.  Ron Lake, Al Cerett and Jim Studer for the Trojans and Ray Rank, BobErvin and John Weaver for the Tribe.  Dave Struchen, who  turned his ankle late in the game, shared team scoring  honors with Bill Blickensderfer with 14 points each.  Lake led TV with 18.  Gnadenhutten (6-6) also won the Reserve game 40-38 over the Tuscarawas Valley (6-5) team.
