MIDVALE - A couple of reserves provided a real spark for Midvale (4-4) (11-7) in its win over Port Washington, avenging a 60-59 defeat suffered at Port (2-6) (8-10) earlier this season.  Jim Tidrick and Jim Weaver, entering the game early when 2 regulars were hampered by personal fouls, accounted for 19 of the Blue Devils points.  The Devils led 15-12 at the first stop and were in front 34-27 at intermission.  They waxed hot in the  third to  break itopen, outscoring Port 19-10 in the stanza for a 53-37 advantge at the stop.  Neal Beans was a major reason for the third quarter uprising as the veteran Junior hit 16 of his 24 points in the second half and played a scrappy board game, Tidrick and  Rick Belknap picked up 11 each.  Bill Phillips paced Port with 18, Jim Bender had 12 and Gary Gay 11.  It was a complete sweep for Midvale.  The Junior High game started off the night with Midvale trampling Port Washington 46-24.  Then in the Reserve game, Midvale (11-6) roped Port Washington (5-8) 44-36.
