61 - Midvale Sneaks By The Railroaders 54-52 (2-1-61)



MIDVALE - Warren (Corky) Leggett popped in a fielder with 3 seconds remaining to play here last night to give Midvale (10-6) a narrow 2-point verdict over Dennison (10-5).  The shot put the kinks to a final-period drive by the Raillroaders,  who were behind throughout the battle.  Midvale had posted quarter leads of 17-13, 23-22 and 45-34.  Leggett, whotook game laurels with 19 points, ended Dennison's 10-game victory streak against Class "A" opposition with his big shot.  Neal Beans and Dave Belknap added 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Midvale, while Jim Henry led the  Railroaders with 18 markers.  Dick Selzer connected for 12.  In the Reserve game, Midvale (10-5) got by Dennison 35-31.
