67 - Strasburg Wins Slugfest At Garaway 12-10 (5-18-67)

SUGARCREEK - The Strasburg Tigers' diamond crew (5-2), with a 5-run outburst in the 4th, overcame a Garaway Pirate (2-6) lead in a 22 run slugfest yesterday and picked up a 2-run win on the Pirates' field.  Garaway jumped to an early lead with 4 markers in  the 1st, but combinations of walks and errors for both teams turned the contest into a high scoring event in a regular game.  Strasburg's Tom Ferris (3-0) took credit for the win.  Tim Miller (0-2) suffered the loss.  Extra base blows, all doubles, were by Tigers Gary Feller (5) and Ed Yackey (1), while Pirates' Miller (1) and Bob Farver (2) also connected.
