HAVING TUCKED AWAY another Tuscarawas County League Championship, those talented Tigers from Strasburg were looking forward to the county tournament and a chance to add another piece of jewelry to the already-crowded trophy case. Its fourth straight undefeated league campaign received the finishing touches last night when it bombed invading Port Washington 64-46 for its 17th victory of the season and its 41st straight in league competition. The Bengals, winners of all 10 loop hassles, needed the triumph for the undisputed title and they left no doubt about it as they eked out to an early lead and coasted in. Midvale, which would have tied the Tigers had Port been able to stem the potent Strasburg array, completed its league season with a 9-1 mark after it smacked down Sugarcreek-Shanesville 76-64. Third-place Gnadenhutten drubbed Mineral City 85-52, Stone Creek outlasted Baltic in a 108-92 firewagon fuss which featured a 40-point spree by the Panthers' Ronnie Deibel and Bolivar eked out a 64-60 decision over Dundee in the other curtain-closers. The final standings follow:
