WITH VICTORY as their price objective, six teams open their bids for tournament gold tonight at Dover's Memorial Hall. The first night of hoop bombardment in the 34th Tuscarawas County cage carnival will unfold at 6:30 with Stone Creek clashing with Sugarcreek-Shanesville followed by the Mineral City-Tuscarawas fracas at about 7:45 and the Bolivar-Dundee tilt at approximately 9. And if tonight's games are anything like the ones when these clubs met during the regular season fans should be treated to plenty of thrills.

In previous tussles, Bolivar edged Dundee's Bulldogs twice 61-59 and 64-60. Stone Creek's Panthers had to go all out to vanquish Tuscarawas and Mineral City the Tigers by a 68-58 count and traveled into an overtime session before the Tusky Broncos won 73-69. Some of the leading scorers in the area will be seen in action this evening - Paul Lindsay of Mineral city, Ted Riggle of Tusky, Don Levengood of Dundee, Ronnie Deibel of Stone Creek, Ted Brown of Sugarcreek-Shanesville and Ken (Bobo) Haueter of Bolivar.
