59 - Girls Achieve Honors Among Port Seniors (5-19-59)
PORT WASHINGTON - Top students were named today for the 13-member graduation class at Port Washington High. Connie Dichler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Dichler, was named valedictorian and Betty Jane Davies, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Evan Davies, is salutatorian. Miss Dichler has been head majoret at the school three years and is also a cheerleader and editor of the school yearbook. She also has been active as a member of Sextette and Quartette, member of the mixed chorus and piano accompanist. She won top place in her class with a 4.0 or perfect average. Miss Davies, who maintained a 3.77 average, also is a cheerleader and majoret and has been active on the yearbook staff and in the mixed chorus and band.
